I would have to be serious when it comes to confronting a rape survivor being mildly intoxicated in the third session. This is because getting intoxicated would mean that the client might be trying to escape reality and be an escapist. However, I would have to make the client realize that being an escapist would definitely not work for the future. I would explain to the client that there could be more depression and trauma once the client would be momentarily out of intoxication.
